A particular sect of angels is so fiercely devoted to humility that they cover up even the resplendent gleam of their own halos with tall, puffy toques (chef hats), considering the shine to be ostentatious. Most rebellious, less-than-perfect angels are wary around these fanatics and consider them to be hypocrits.

This vampire ball gown was made as a gift to a particular Seelie Court fay princess. In the era when the dress was made, the Seelie Court still maintained constructive relationships with the vampire clans that lived in Elysium. Fay blood proved too rich and enticing to vampire kind, however, and after a number of unfortunate occurrences, fay ambassadors began to wear neck and wrist guards when visiting with their vampire allies.
This remarkable watch-knife was made by the German watchmaker Frans Frauenblumen, whose son was kidnapped by vampires. After four years and several unique, high-quality vampire implements delivered to the Carpathians, Frauenblumen’s son was returned to him. Neither man dared to speak of the vampires until 1825, when Frauenblumen’s work was recovered at the scene of a murder in Prague. Although his father was dead, the son told the entire tale to the Polizei in order to clear his family’s name. The son disappeared the following year and was never seen again.
Vampire blood sampler. Circa 1789. Vampire lords and queens often preferred to send their underlings to hunt for them in transportation-challenged former eras. A vampire queen would request a minor assault, and a stolen sample of blood was delivered in order to allow a more informed decision about whether or not to bother with a particular human or fay victim.
